Switzerland Blocks Leopard Tanks Sale To Ukraine; Blow To Zelensky Amid Fightback Against Russia
Switzerland has blocked the sale of Leopard-1 tanks to Ukraine. The Swiss government rejected arms maker Ruag AG's proposal to sell 96 Leopard-1 tanks to Ukraine. The Swiss government said the request is "inconsistent with applicable law," noting that it is a neutral country that can’t approve sales of arms bound for an active conflict zone.
