We had this fantastic professor who clearly tried to reach the students and dwelt very deeply into the works we studied whom, obviously, gave us reading assignments for the main works of every philosopher we covered, and my retarded classmates were so repulsed by the idea of reading in their free time that they pulled him aside one day, in his classroom, and asked him to stop giving out reading assignments and only teach 'in the blackboard', ie. writing down the main points of what we were looking at and explaining them in the most overly-simplified way possible.
