Idlescape Roadmap to Full Launch
Hey! It has been a while since I have updated you on the roadmap to full launch. With the changes in Idlescape team, the roadmap will also go through some changes.
Idlescape v0.8 - Ironman mode
Pretty self-explanatory, but you will be able to create an account with any peer-to-peer activity disabled, including trading, toucan and marketplace
Ironmen will have their own Highscore and chat icons
You will be able to create your ironman character on the same account as your current one. So one username/password, but multiple characters to play with.
Idlescape v0.8.1 - Toolbelt, Loadouts, Achievements, Talent Trees and Mastery level rework
Tools will get separated from the combat equipment view to their own interface.
Many of the current skills will have a tool associated with it together with skill specific enchants
Loadouts to make it easier to change your equipment quickly
A bunch of achievements will be added to the game. For example, having 1 million stone in inventory, hitting over 50 in combat in a single hit, lasting over 6 hours in Valley of Giants etc.
Mastery levels will not increase effective level of that skill anymore, but will give you achievement points.
With achievement points, you can allocate the points into a talent tree. The talent tree will have different branches: Gathering, Production, Combat and Magic.
Allocating points into the talent tree will be cost-free. But resetting the talent tree will have a gold cost associated with it.
Idlescape v0.9 - Combat 2.0
Major overhaul to how combat works. This will/might include but not limited to
Boss encounters
World bosses
Different damage types
Combat abilities
PvP
Party combat
Idlescape v0.9.1 - Smithing Rework
Smithing will be made more interesting. You will have to choose a specific forge where to smelt your bars. Each forge will have different traits attached to it; for example no heat used, chance for double bars, faster smelting speed etc.
Idlescape v0.9.2 - Marketplace Rework
The marketplace will become a auction house. A bunch of filters will be added, and you can search items for example by enchant, augment level, stats and heal amount.
Idlescape v0.9.3 - Possible Fishing Rework
As many of you know, Fariel was planning to make a Fishing rework. If the community still wants it, I want to respect it and make it reality.
Idlescape v0.9.4 - Monetization model
The monetization model of the game will get changed, as we really want to ensure long-term success and support for the game
This will include cosmetic microtransactions to change the look of your character, gear, pets, etc.
NO P2W PURCHASES
Idlescape v0.9.5 - Steam and Mobile
Idlescape will get launched on Steam and on mobile app stores. This will hopefully really increase the player-base of Idlescape.
